Mr. and Mrs. I. F. Sexson celebrated their 50th marriage anniversary in a quiet manner a their farm home, south of Gays, in Ash Grove township, Tuesday, Nov. 20. Isaac F. Sexson, son of Perry and Nancy Goode Sexson, was born in Ash Grove township, Shelby county, IL, on Oct. 1, 1846, and is now 82 years old. He was the oldest of 15 children. Eleven of them lived to be grown and married. Mrs. Sexson was Mary Belle Roby. She was the only daughter of Reuben and Nancy Price Roby, and was born in Richland township, Apr. 14, 1859. Her mother dying she was reared in the home of Mr. and Mrs. James S. Nantz of Windsor. Mr. and Mrs. Sexson were married Nov. 29, 1878 by Rev. W. W. M. Barber in Windsor. Of the five Sexson children only three are living: Mrs. John J. Chambers and B. A. Sexson of Windsor and Mrs. R. O. Watson of Shelbyville.
