      Mr. and Mrs. I. F. Sexson celebrated their 50th marriage anniversary in a quiet manner a their farm home, south of Gays, in Ash Grove township, Tuesday, Nov. 20. Isaac F. Sexson, son of Perry and Nancy Goode Sexson, was born in Ash Grove township, Shelby county, IL, on Oct. 1, 1846, and is now 82 years old. He was the oldest of 15 children. Eleven of them lived to be grown and married. Mrs. Sexson was Mary Belle Roby. She was the only daughter of Reuben and Nancy Price Roby, and was born in Richland township, Apr. 14, 1859. Her mother dying she was reared in the home of Mr. and Mrs. James S. Nantz of Windsor. Mr. and Mrs. Sexson were married Nov. 29, 1878 by Rev. W. W. M. Barber in Windsor. Of the five Sexson children only three are living: Mrs. John J. Chambers and B. A. Sexson of Windsor and Mrs. R. O. Watson of Shelbyville.     5. [S1251] Find A Grave, Perry Wallace Sexson.
      The obituary for Perry Sexson stated tht he had died in Ash Grove, Nov. 7, 1900 and burial was in Ash Grove Cemetery. He was born in Whitley Co., KY, Aug. 28, 1820. He moved to Ash Grove with his parents at the age of 12. He married Nancy Goode, Nov. 3, 1842 and she died Oct. 4, 1877. They had six sons, all surviving, namely, I. F., J. N., W. A., S. B., J. J., and C. H. They had nine girls, only four surviving, namely, Mrs. Martha Kemp, Mrs. Ollie Cox, Mrs. Maggie Gardner and Mrs. Dennis Richman. Also surviving were 45 out of 67 grandchildren, plus nine great grandchildren. Also surviving were four sisters and two brothers. Windsor Gazette - 15 Nov 1900

      The obituary for Mrs. Belle Sexson, widow of I. F. Sexson, stated that she had died Dec. 18, 1940 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R. O. Watson in Shelbyville. Burial was in Ash Grove. She was born Belle Roby, Apr. 14, 1859. Her mother died when she was 16 months old and she made her home with an aunt until she married I. F. Sexson, Nov. 29, 1878. Two children were born to this union; Clark E. died Oct 1882 at the age of nine months and surviving was Mrs. R. O. Watson. Also surviving were two step-children, Mrs. J. J. Chambers of Windsor and B. A. Sexson of Webster city, IA, plus seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving were half sisters, Mrs. Ann Storm and Mrs. Bert Storm.
