  [S1251] Find A Grave, Ellen Lou Abney McMorran. Ellen Lou McMorran, 83, Burlingame, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at Topeka, Kansas. She was born July 20, 1928, near Wellsville, in Franklin County, Kansas, the daughter of Admiral Dewey and Wilma Johnson Abney. She grew up at Ottawa, Kansas, and attended the Ottawa schools. Ellen Lou married Thomas McMorran, April 19, 1947, at Ottawa, Kansas. They moved to Burlingame in 1952. She had been a sales clerk, and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Burlingame Townsite Apartments Advisory Board, and a former member of Corinthian Chapter No. 181, Burlingame, Kansas. Tom preceded her in death March 12, 2008. She also was preceded in death by infant sons, Thomas and Robert McMorran, a brother, Robert Abney, and a sister, Jacquline Mewhinney. Survivors include a daughter, Connie Mae Bonczkowski, Burlingame, KS; two brothers, Lavern Dutch Abney, and Leonard Dick Abney, Topeka, KS; three grandsons, Scott Bonczkowski, and his wife Becky, Topeka, KS, Chad Bonczkowski, and his wife Carolyn, Burlingame, KS, and Ryan Bonczkowski, and his wife Stacey, Emporia, KS; and eight great-grandchildren. Ellen Lou was cremated. Inurnment services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 25, 2011, at the Ramskill Chapel in Burlingame Cemetery.
