      James Morgan Sr. was born on September 16, 1873 in Miami County near Louisburg, Kansas, and departed this life at Trinity Lutheran Hospital in Kansas City, Mo., on March 6, 1952, at the age of 79 years. He lived near Louisburg until 1916, at which time he moved near Parker, Kansas, where he was residing at the time of his death. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife, Mrs. Ida Morgan and James Jr., of the home; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Morgan and family of Somerset; Mrs. Edna Johnson, husband and family of Erie, Kansas; Frank Morgan of the home, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Morgan and family of Greeley, Kansas, Mrs. Velma Vertrees and husband of Osawatomie, Kansas, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Morgan and family, Centerville, Kansas and granddaughter, Nadine Morgan of the home. There were twenty-four grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Wilson funeral home in Paola on Sunday at 2 o'clock and burial was in Louisburg cemetery.
