    1. [S1251] Find A Grave, Margaret Sleeth Hacker.
      Margaret was born in Ireland and came with her parents, John Alexander and Mary Ann (Wallace) Sleeth, to America. According to family records, Margaret was a tall, straight, well-proportioned woman with a good full head of dark and wavy hair. She had dark hazel eyes and an aqualine nose. Her countenance was pleasant and her voice was music itself.

      She married John Hacker in 1765 in Loudon County,
      Virginia and they became the parents of the following eleven children:

      1. Mary Ann Hacker - b. ca 1768 in Virginia, married Edmund West Jr. on 15 February 1787. She was killed ten months later in an Indian Massacre along with her Father-In-Law Edmund West Sr. on December 5, 1787 in what is now Lewis County, WV. She is buried in the "Pioneer Cemetery" in Lewis County, WV.

      2.William Hacker was born May 03, 1771 and died September 27, 1826. He married Mary Adah West on February 24, 1787 the daughter of Edmond West, Sr. and Mary Goodson.

      3.John Hacker, Jr. was born 29 March 1773 and died 15 October 1835. He married Susannah Smith on 29 March 1796.

      4.Sarah Hacker was born 24 April 1775 and died 25 July 1855. She married David Smith on 5 January 1796.

      5.Margaret Hacker was born 27 December 1776 and died 20 July 1815. She married Peter Hardeman on 5 December 1797.

      6.Jonathan Daniel Hacker was born 10 January 1779 and died 14 May 1866. He married Hannah Bennett on 18 August 1808.

      7.Alexander Hacker was born 17 September 1781 and died in January of 1837. He married Betsy McNemar on 17 September 1804.

      8.Elizabeth Hacker was born in 1784 and died in 1811. She married Henry Hardeman on 27 September 1808.

      9.Absolom Hacker was born in 1787 and died in 1858. He married Elizabeth Kyrkendall in 1812.

      10.Thomas Sleeth Hacker was born 18 March 1790 and died 28 January 1880. He married Margaret Ruth Keith on 17 December 1817.

      11.Mary Ann Hacker was born 18 July 1793 and died 28 January 1880. She married John Helmick on 27 August 1811.
