- Obituary: Stanley Russell Morgan: Stanley Russell Morgan, 64, Rolla, Mo., a native of Somerset in rural Paola and a former Paola businessman, died Monday, March 15, 1999. Stan, as he was more commonly known, was born March 27, 1934, at Somerset to Damon Morgan and Irene Judd Bleyenberg. He was a 1954 graduate at Paola High School. He married Winona Jones on June 4, 1954, at Paola. They became the parents of two daughters. While living in Paola, Mr. Morgan owned and operated Morgan Heating & Air Conditioning. After moving from Paola he work in construction. Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, Benny Morgan. Surviving are his wife, Winona Morgan of the home; his two daughters, Cindy Spurgeon of St. James, Mo., and Cathy Wells of Rolla Mo.; two brothers, Dan Morgan of Paola and Gary Morgan of Lakeside, Calif.; a sister, Bonnie Patton of Mound City; his stepfather, Clarence Bleyenberg of Paola; and five grandchildren. Services were at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday) at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, with the Rev. Gary Bartle officiating. Burial following in the Morgan Family Cemetery in Rolla, Mo. Memorials may be made to Phelps County Regional Medical Center for Hospice rooms at Rolla, Mo.
