    Notes
    • Albert Artigues III told Jeff Vitter that he remembered several famous New Orleans jazz musicians coming by his house for jam sessions with his father Albert Jr. It was how he learned to play Dixieland piano.

Email to Jeff Vitter from Alex Artigues, 5/16/2005:

      Hi Jeff,

This is Alex, the son of Albert J. Artigues III.   As you are the only keeper of our family tree that I am aware of, I just wanted to let you know that my father passed away unexpectedly on the 7th at about 4:30 AM.   He collapsed and died instantly, the doctors believe it was a heart attack.

Another note that may be relevant from reading the notes about our families, Al will not be placed in the family crypt.  We will spread his ashes over Aspen in July (4th of July was his favorite holiday).

I hope all is well with your family.   Thank you also for keeping this tree up to date, I hope now to find more time to research it.

      Best regards,
