William N. Price was born in Ash Grove, Nov. 22, 1832 and spent his entire life in Shelby county. In the early part of his married life he lived one half mile south of Ash Grove church. In 1866 he moved to his late residence in Windsor where he spent the remainder of his life and where he passed peacefully away April 21 [1895] at 6 p.m. He was first married to Mary Ann Storm. To them were born three children. His wife and all the children died leaving him alone. He was married a second time to Nancy Storm. There were no children to this union. He was then married a third time to Miss Armiza E. Townley, Aug. 17, 1870. To them were born two sons, the three surviving husband and father. He was a good neighbor and citizen, a kind and affectionate husband and father and enjoyed the confidence and esteem of all who knew him. A brief funeral service was held at the house Tuesday forenoon at 10 o'clock, Elder Harrell having charge. The order of the Eastern Star here offered their tribute. The body was conveyed to Ash Grove cemetery where the full Masonic burial service was observed, The Rev. W. W. M. Barber in charge. The sorrowing family have the sympathy of all who knew them. A. H. H. Windsor Gazette – 25 Apr 1895 Note: A card of thanks was signed by Mrs. Price, Ed Price and Hugh Price.
