Individuals can be searched for in the pdf file. The individuals are labeled by their genealogical ordering (via the Henry or d'Aboville systems). An earlier 21-page list of family tree diagrams was published by Kay F. Sellers, entitled "Nicolay: A Preliminary Outline of the Descendants of John Jacob Nicolay," 1987. There are also newspaper clippings about members of the family in the 267-page compilation by Kay F. Sellers, entitled "Nicolay Newspaper Clippings: Weddings Obituaries, Miscellaneous," which is an appendix to this document. The page numbers in the index refer to the numbers printed on each page.
