Eugenia Lois Dildy Hoovestol, 90, went to be with the Lord on March 2, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Eugenia and Eunice Dildy. She spent her childhood in Nashville, Arkansas with her loving grandparents Minnie and Clarence Dildy. At age 10, she moved to Houston, Texas where she married and raised her family.

Eugenia was very active in Houston as a past president of The Texas Medical Auxillary and many other social and philanthropic organizations. She was a life long member of Houston's South Main Baptist Church. In 1998, she moved to Rabun County. It was here where she was able to retire and spend her days creating the beautiful art for which many will remember her. Eugenia was an Artist in Residence at the Georgia Heritage Center for the Arts in Tallulah Falls for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Joel Hoovestol and her four siblings. She is survived by her children Karen Hoovestol Weimmer, Paeder Tediman Hoovestol, and Inger Hoovestol Smith; four grandsons and two granddaughters.
