Name Anna Catheryn Doering [1, 2] Notes - Obituary: Mrs. Anna Bendorf: Mrs. Anna Bendorf, aged 62 died suddenly at her home, 708 Wea, at 1:30 Wednesday afternoon, November 12, 1947. Her death, caused by a heart attack, was very unexpected as she had been in her usual health until that morning when she felt slightly indisposed. Anna Catheryn Doering, daughter of the late Levi and Mary Doering, was born in Clay County, Kansas, October 11, 1885. She was married on February 10, 1909, to Albert Bendorf, who was a resident of the Louisburg community for many years. Since 1901 Mrs. Bendorf had lived in Paola. She is survived by one son, Wilber of the home. An only daughter died in 1912 and Mr. Bendorf passed away November 18, 1946. Surviving besides the son are two sisters Mrs. Emma Welch of DeSoto, Kansas and Mrs. Jerry Kiser of Paola, and three brothers. Martin Doering of the Veterans Hospital, Wadsworth George Doering, Pueblo, Colo., and Sam Doering of Denver. Mrs. Bendorf was a member of the Methodist Church. Burial services were held Friday afternoon at two at the Wilson & Son Chapel. Rev. F.W. Siegmund, local Christian minister, officiated. Hymns used in the service were "City Four Square" and In the Garden," sung by Mrs. Pansy Achey and Mrs. Alvin Joyce, with Mrs. J.W. Mockahee playing the accompaniment. Pallbearers were nephews of the deceased, Eddie, Paul and Harry Morgan, Floyd, Ralph and Ray Bendorf, and Mars. Jessie Witt, Mrs. Frank Coburn, Mrs. Lloyd Moody and Mrs. Pearl Obermeier, nieces, assisted with the flowers. Burial was in the Louisburg Cemetery. Those who came From a distance were George Doering of Pueblo, Sam Doering of Denver, and Mr. and Mrs. Guy Horchum of Ransom, Kansas.
