    • Obituary: Julia C. Morgan: Mrs. Julia C. Morgan, 86, died Monday, June 8, 1987, at the Oak Haven Nursing Home in Richmond. She had resided there since 1975. She was born April 8, 1901, in West Newton, Pa. at an early age she traveled with her parents Lemuel and Elva Fischell, to Kansas City to make their home. Later they moved to the Paola area and she attended grade school and high school here. She was married Nov. 13, 1920 to J. Leary Morgan, also of Paola, and they made their home and raised their family here. In 1961 they moved to Garnett and later Greeley, where they were living at the time of his death in 1966. Mrs. Morgan was a seamstress and did sewing and altering for the public for a number of years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and during her years in Paola helped organize and served as the first president of the Wesleyan Service Guild. Twice she completed the four-year Menninger Bible study course and participated in the graduation exercises on both occasions. Surviving are her four daughters, Mrs. Josephine Mathews of West Line, Mo., Mrs. Elnora Vohs of Paola, Mrs. Dorothy Nolan of Topeka, and Mrs. Virginia Eddy of Lawrence; two sons, Jack Morgan of Paola, and Jim Morgan of Omaha, Neb.; 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. A granddaughter, Michele Morgan, preceded her in death in 1978. The services were a 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Farris-Feuerborn Chapel in Garnett. A grandson, Mark Ellis of Ottawa, officiated. Another grandson, Mike Ellis of Phoenix, Ariz., was the organist. Melanie Shubert-Morgan of Lincoln, Neb., was the soloist. The pallbearers were grandsons, Jon Morgan, Richard Moews, Robert Moews, Gary Vohs, Ronnie Vohs, Richard Morgan, Bruce Morgan and George Ruyle. Granddaughters taking care of the flowers were JoAnn Ruyle, Jackie Johnson, Angela Potter, Roberta Moews and Sue Ellis. The burial was in the Greeley Cemetery.
