- [S1251] Find A Grave, Charity Storm Abercrombie.
Mrs. Charity Storm Abercrombie, wife of P. A. Abercrombie, died Saturday, Apr. 11, at the family home in Ash Grove township, after a long illness. Rev. E. U. Smith conducted the funeral and burial services Monday at Ash Grove Christian Church, of which she had been a member since childhood, having united with the church under the preaching of Elder Sweeney. The services were largely attended as Mrs. Abercrombie was held in high esteem as a Christian woman, friend and neighbor. She was born Aug. 8,1855 and was married to Mr. Abercrombie, May 2, 1871. Five children were born to them, viz, William R. of Stewardson, John W., who died in infancy, Mrs. Cora E. Warren of Windsor township, Mrs. Laura A. Sitler and Mrs. Lillie E. Rankin, both of Ash Grove. Her husband, the four children, several grandchildren; four brothers, W. R., T. G., J. J., and G. W. Storm; and one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Watson, are left to mourn her death. At the funeral six nephews, R. O. Watson, Bert Abercrombie, John Storm, Clarence Storm, Burl Abercrombie and Cyrus C. Storm, acted as pallbearers. There were many beautiful floral offerings. Windsor Gazette - 16 Apr 1914
